Cone of Shame

Shackleton was neutered as of January 17th 2010. We waited in line for an hour in the bitter bitter cold at 7AM for the $70 ASPCA spay and neuter truck, with all the other welfare cats and dogs.

When we got him back, he was bleeding all down his leg. We spent all day at the vet with him, and it turns out they tie his testes in a not to stop it from bleeding, and the knot had slipped. Poor little Shackleton had to take 3 kinds of medication for a week, and he had to be locked in the bathroom for 5 days so that he would not jump around and make the wound worse.

Worst of all, he had to where the Cone of Shame, which meant no licking for a whole week! Poor Shackleton's fur was all matted. He kept bumping into everything and falling off balance because the cone kept his measuring whiskers from doing their job.

Put Put Bump. Put Put Bump.
